Five day prime tour of Ningxia

Characteristic: The harsh yet beautiful landscape, the unique Chinese Muslim flavor, as well as the mysterious history of the Western Xia Kingdom, this tour offers you great opportunity to explore this charming yet less visite area of North-western  China.

Itinarary:

Day1: Arrive in Yinchuan. Check in to the hotel .   overnight stay: Yinchuan

Day2: Visit the Western Xia Mausoleum ( the Royal tomb group of the Western Xia Kingdom(1038-1227), there are over 200 tombs scattered around a whole area of about 50 square km at the foot of Helan Mt.). Visit the Rock Carvings at Helan Mt( pictures carved on cliffs on very steep Mountain, the earliest were done  10,000 years ago, the view is great with stream running down from the Mountain,), visit the Western China Film Studio(one of the biggest Film Cities in China, where the Red Sorgum were produced) (B+L+D)

Overnight stay: Yinchuan

D3: Bus ride to Zhongwei. On the way visit the 108 Pagodas( a Pagoda group of altogether108 arranged in a triangle shape on the slope of a Mountain, the only one of its kind in China)

   Visit Shapotou(5A National scenic spot, magnificent view of both the Great Yellow River and the Tengger Desert)     (B+L+D)    overnight stay: Zhongwei

D4: Visit Gao Temple( a nice and quiet Buddhist Temple built in a very unique architectural style)

Bus ride back to Yinchuan. Visit the Grand Mosque and the provincial Museum

D5: Visit Shahu( Sandlake: 5A National scenic spot, great view of lakes and the desert)
