黄石寨位于张家界森林公园西部。相传汉留侯张良隐居此地受难被其师黄石公搭救，故而得名。黄石寨海拔1200米，占地面积250亩，是森林公园最大、最集中的观景台。素有“不登黄石寨，枉到张家界”之说。主要景点有：杉林幽径、天书宝匣、定海神针、南天门、南天一柱、摘星台、六奇阁、天桥遗墩、金龟探海、五指峰、龙头峰、前花园等20余处。
Huangshi Village
Huangshi Village lies in the west of Zhangjiajie Forest Park. It is named after the story of Zhangliang, the Marquis of Han Dynasty.
When he was the recluse here, his teacher, Mr. Huangshi, saved him
fi)tm his sufferings. With its altitude of 1200 meters and area 250
Chinese acres, Huangshi Village is the largest and the most
concentrated spot for observation. This can be seen from the com-

The main scenic spots include: Fir Forest path, Heavenly Book
and Precious Box，Magic Needle in the Ocean, Southern Heavenly
Gate, One Pillar in the South, Star-catching Stage, Liuqi Pavilion,
Ruins of Sky Bridge, Gold Turtle facing the Sea, 5-finger Peak,
Dragon Head Peak, Front Garden and the others, all together over 20
spots.
