万佛金塔地宫系仿泰国皇宫式建筑。塔身内外供奉9999尊金佛像，连同建筑本身造型恰是一尊佛像，故称“万佛金塔地宫”。
地宫内金砖铺地，金碧辉煌，豪华壮观。其中央有一座21尊地藏菩萨金塔，分 3 层供奉，形成塔中有塔的奇观；长 3.5 米的象牙微雕，雕刻有《清明上河图》、五百罗汉像和 8 万字的经文；还有《中华佛教二千年》巨典(绝版)和众多国家一级佛教文物展示等。
万佛金塔地宫广场上供奉着一尊高2米、长6米、重16吨、国内最大的玉卧佛像，系整块缅甸玉雕琢而成；佛像周身用宝石、珍珠、玛瑙等镶嵌，系释迦牟尼佛的“吉祥卧”，又称 “涅磬之像”。
Gold Tower of Ten Thousand Buddhas in The Underground Temple imitates the Thailand imperial palace building. There are 9999 gold statues of Buddhas in both inside and outside the Tower body. The whole building looks like a statue of a Buddha, so it is called “Gold Tower of Ten Thousand Buddhas in The Underground Temple”. |
